Birding By Boat in the Mississippi Backwaters: River pilot Loren Waalkens and a Professional Birding Guide - Experience the wooded backwaters, Houseboat Lake Shoreline, and the narrow estuaries of Indian Slough. Meet at Indian Slough Ramp Exit. Take Hwy 61 to Wabasha, MN -East to Hwy 60 onto Wabasha, MN/Nelson, WI bridge go abt. ? mile take Exit to Right at Indian Slough Ramp (look for yellow Birding Event sign )IF TIME SLOT YOU WANT IS FULL-PLEASE CHECK IF AVAILABLE ON Saturday or Sunday Schedule

Chippewa Bottoms Wildlife Area- near Durand
Take Hwy 35 N to Hwy 25 East toward Durand, WI Abt. 11 miles (follow yellow Birding Event signs) - Scheduled Guides- Kelly Larson, Gary Krogman, Carole Bruskey and Scott Mehus.

A most unique birding event. Travel by open Mini Rail Car through the Tiffany Bottom Wildlife area. An on and off trip that will take you to areas not accessible on foot. Port-a-Potty available. Bring water and dress appropriately.

Box Lunch will be provided
