Fountain City Rod & Gun club hosts open shoot for the duck tower this fall. Membership button is required to shoot. Buttons can be purchased at The Wing Dam Saloon, The Golden Frog and Kwik Trip in Fountain City, WI.

Shoots are hosted the following Sundays, 8:00am to 11:00am. $5.00 per round.

Fountain City First Responders Annual Spaghetti Dinner

The Fountain City First Responders will be holding their annual Spaghetti Dinner on Sat, Oct 14th from 4:00-7:00pm at Cochrane-Fountain City School. Dinners will be $9 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under. If you are unable to attend the dinner, they are asking for your support in the form of items for which they can raffle at the dinner and/or food and supplies to host the dinner. Since the Fountain City First Responders are a non-profit organization, they are able to accept your tax-deductible cash donations as well.spaghetti-dinner_0

Not-So-Spooky Hike @ Merrick State Park

Not-So-Spooky Hike

Join us for a “Not So Spooky” self-guided night hike on one of our trails lit by jack-o-lanterns and Tiki-torches. Try your hand at decorating a mini pumpkin or just hang out by the bonfire and roast a hot dog or a marshmallow. We will have s’more making materials on hand along with hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Bring a flashlight, if you wish, and please dress appropriately for the weather. This program will run from 6PM until 8PM.

Cochrane Fountain City School’s National Honor Society honors our veterans with a program on November 9th @ 10:00am. Members from our local VFW and American Legion chapters will be there. Open to the public, please join our youth to celebrate this special day.

Holiday Harvest Wine & Food Festival @ Seven Hawks Vineyard

Start your celebration of the season by enjoying holiday foods and wines on the Great River Road Wine Trail! Kick off your wine trail in Fountain City @ Seven Hawk’s Vineyards! Registration at the event is $25 per person. Each ticket holder will receive a wine trail glass and a six-bottle wine tote at the first winery visited. Their ticket and wine glass will entitle the holder to free wine and food tasting at each winery. Plan to enjoy the event for the entire weekend, and visit all 11 wineries! Start as far away as you can, and work your way home!!
