Stoney End make beautifully crafted folk harps of local cherry, black walnut and maple; the instruments are well-known for their large, sweet voices, light weight and reasonable price. Models include: two shapes of 22-string lap harps; a 3-octave chromatic cross-strung harp; a 26-string harp; 3 29-string floor harps; and a 34-string floor harp (the last goes down to the 2nd C below middle C and is made only in maple). Sharping levers, cases, tuners and other accessories are available, as are Stoney End mountain banjos, mountain dulcimers, bodhrans (Irish drums) and more.

Stoney End Harps Hobgoblin Music instruments from other sources include Irish flutes, pennywhistles, bagpipes, mandolins, bouzoukis, banjos, melodeons, concertinas, piano accordians, hammered dulcimers, imported bodhrans, and other percussion instruments. The store/mail order catalog also carries how-to-play books for all the instruments, plus tune books, reference materials, CDs, tapes and related gift items.

The showroom is located in a large old gray barn with a poem on the side at 920 State Hwy 19, one mile south of Hwy 61 (five miles NW of downtown Red Wing). The 1920 barn is newly renovated with space for concerts, events, workshops, classes, dances and more, in addition to the harpmaking shop, the store, and the mail-order facility. The showroom is open 8:30 to 5:00 weekdays, 10 to 5 on Saturdays, and closed Sundays unless there is an event, when it is open for an hour before the event.
