CELEBRATING "MIGRATORY BIRD DAY" AND THE GREAT "MISSISSIPPI RIVER FLYWAY"
Birding at area parks  will be at it’s peak for warbler observation, ducks, shorebirds, and amphibian night sounds  along the shoreline of the Mississippi and Lake Pepin, through the backwaters, through woodlands and prairie areas.

SCHEDULED BIRDING EVENTS: Friday, May 13, Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15-Birding By Boat in the Mississippi River backwaters known as Indian Slough with Loren Waalkens.  For Reservations: 651-345-7550 Saturday, May 14 - Birding by Mini Rail Car - 7:00-12:00 through Chippewa River Bottoms and Tiffany Wildlife Area with experienced guides. For Reservations:  608-685-3303 Saturday, May 14 - Bird Banding at Hok-Si-La Park, Lake City, MN. Visitors are invited to observe bird banding throughout the day.
